Title: Two-Day Tyisam Festival Inaugurated at Golden Beach, Baghmara to Promote Tourism and Local Culture

The Hon'ble Minister in charge of Tourism, Agriculture and Fishery Department Shri T. D. Shira expressed his happiness and contentment in participating the two-day event while stating that Baghmara Simsang beach reminds him of the famous Marina Beach in Chennai. However, the area of sand in Baghmara is much bigger compared to that beach. He said.
He further urged the gathering to push themselves for domestic tourism by creating an atmosphere that will attract more tourist especially in the Simsang Beach that can enhanced the local economies. The Minister also said that State Tourism Department is keen on developing Tourism across the state and urged the people of South Garo Hills to fully utilized the available resources and make tourist friendly destination
