Title: CEO Meghalaya Reviews Claims & Objections and Notice Phase of SIR 2026 with District Election Machinery and Political Parties

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Meghalaya, held a Virtual Review Meeting with the Deputy Com missioners/District Election Officers (DCs/DEOs), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) on 11th August, 2026 to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SI R), 2026 following the publication of the Draft Electoral Rolls on 5th August, 2026.
The Chief Electoral Off icer also held a separate meeting with representatives of the Recognized National and State Political Parties to brie f them on the progress of the SIR, the ongoing period for filing Claims & Objections, the Notice and Hearing process and other activities being undertaken to ensure transparency and participation in the revision exercise
