Along with the rest of the country, the 77th Republic Day was today celebrated in East Jaintia Hills District at a function held at Holy Family Parish Ground, Khliehriat wherein Meghalaya Cabinet Minister, Shri. Lahkmen Rymbui unfurled the Tri-Colour and took the Rashtriya Salute of the 11 parade contingents comprising of the District Police, NCC Units and students from different schools. The ceremonial parade was followed by tableau presentation made by 10 Line Departments depicting their schemes and programme as also cultural items performed by students of the district. The celebration witnessed the enthusiastic participation of government officials, students and community members
