Title: MoU signed between Government of Meghalaya and Bharti Airtel Foundation to strengthen teachers’ training

The MoU was signed in the presence of Education Minister, Shri Lahkmen Rymbui, Commissioner & Secretary, Shri Vijay Kumar Mantri, Director of DERT, Smti J. U. Kharpuri and senior officials of the Education Department.
The partnership aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers and education personnel through continuous professional development, modern teaching methodologies, technology-enabled learning and capacity building programmes. It will also support the development of a more effective and future ready teaching workforce capable of responding to the changing needs of learners.
Bharti Airtel Foundation brings experience in supporting education departments in areas including teacher and school leader capacity building, innovative teaching practices, digital learning resources and institutional strengthening.
The MoU marks an important step towards strengthening the Meghalaya Teachers Training Academy as a centre for continuous professional learning, complementing the State’s ongoing efforts to improve teacher capacity and learning outcomes
