Title: Training on Fire-Fighting Methods Held at Betasing

The programme was chaired by Smt. Sanchi Tamasil M. Sangma, who delivered the keynote address on forest-fire prevention and fire-fighting methods. She stressed the importance of community awareness, preparedness and timely intervention in preventing forest fires and limiting their spread.
Shri Ongkolsing Arengh, SRSO, Ampati, from the Fire and Emergency Services, conducted a practical demonstration on fire-fighting methods, including the proper use of fire extinguishers, control burning techniques, precautions to be taken during forest fires and identification of different types of fire.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of local communities and frontline personnel to respond safely and effectively to fire incidents, while promoting greater community participation in forest-fire prevention
