The Centre for Youth Development (CYD), Mawkyrwat, with the support of the Tourism Department, Government of Meghalaya, on September 26, 2026, organised the Mawkyrwat Great Marathon IV with the objective of promoting sports, health and fitness, and encouraging greater participation of young people in sporting activities across South West Khasi Hills District.
A total of 330 participants took part in the marathon, comprising 120 men above 18 years of age, 37 women above 18 years, 111 boys below 18 years, and 62 girls below 18 years
