Addressing the gathering, Lahkmen Rymbui highlighted the important role of teachers, parents and every member of society in shaping the younger generation. He said teaching is not confined to the classroom but is a shared responsibility, with learning, guidance and encouragement essential to building a peaceful and progressive society.

The Minister stressed the need to help young people recognise opportunities in an increasingly digital and interconnected world. He urged teachers and parents to guide the youth in distinguishing between fact and misinformation and to encourage the responsible and positive use of social media and technology.

Emphasising the importance of hope and encouragement, Rymbui said society must work together to ensure that young people do not feel hopeless, but are instead inspired to recognise their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

He expressed appreciation to the ETFI Meghalaya Chapter and all participants for organising the event and wished the fellowship continued growth and success in its mission of nurturing and inspiring teachers and the wider community
