Delivering his address, Chief Minister, Shri Conrad K Sangma, said that the program of the day is not just a CMSDF sanction but in line and continuing the process of the government's commitment to uphold, protect, promote the traditions, the cultures, and most importantly, the identity of the people. “I was very happy to see the Wangala group coming here and performing in this program. I think it's a very small but a very powerful message that you are giving to the people of the state and I thank you for that,” he said and emphasized on the values of loving one’s own community and roots but underscoring the value of unity. “It is only with unity and respect and only by working together we can move forward as a society and as a state. I hope that this brotherhood, love, respect, and unity will continue to grow,” he said
