Title: Laitlyngkot–Lynkyrdem Stretch of Shillong–Dawki Road Reopens to Vehicular Traffic; Night Closure Continues

Description:
It is hereby informed to the general public and all commuters that the Laitlyngkot-Lynkyrdem (Chainage Kms 24+00 – 37+00) of the Shillong-Dawki Road (NH 206) shall be re-opened for all vehicular traffic with effect from the 10th of August, 2026.
However, it is hereby informed that the night closure timings shall remain unchanged for all vehicles i.e., from 10:00 PM to 05:00 AM. All commuters are requested to strictly adhere to the notified traffic timings and follow the directions issued by the administration.
In view of the on-going monsoon season and the increased risk of landslides, rock falls and road instability all commuters and members of the public are strongly advised to exercise utmost caution while travelling along this stretch. The public is further advised to avoid non-essential travel during periods of heavy rainfall, immediately after rainfall and during night-time hours.
Emergency vehicles including Ambulances, Fire Service and Police may be allowed during closure period and may contact Pynursla Police Station Phone Number: 9862251116 subject to the safety assessment by the on-site authorities
