Title: Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Participates in First-Ever North East Regional Convention on Child Rights at Tawang

The Convention was inaugurated by Shri Pema Khandu, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. It concluded with the adoption of the Tawang Declaration on Child Rights, which was ratified by the Chairpersons and representatives of the participating State Commissions.
The Declaration reaffirms the commitment of all stakeholders to inter-state collaboration and coordination towards ensuring that children across the North Eastern Region are seen, heard and empowered, and that their rights are safeguarded.
The Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights welcomes the outcomes of the Convention and reaffirms its commitment to working alongside its counterparts across the North Eastern Region to strengthen the protection of children's rights through sustained collaboration and coordinated action
