Title: Accused Convicted and Sentenced in 2015 POCSO Case

Description:
On 28th July, 2026, the Hon'ble Court of Smti. M. K. Lyngdoh, Special Judge (POCSO), East Khasi Hills, Shillong, vide Judgment/Court Order dated 28/07/2026, convicted the accused, Shri Abdul Khudus, in Special (POCSO) Case No. 21 of 2016 / Madanrting P.S. Case No. 117(09)2015 under Sections 7/8 of the POCSO Act read with Section 506 IPC.
The accused was sentenced to:
3 (three) years' imprisonment with a fine of ₹20,000 for the offence under Section 8 of the POCSO Act, and in default of payment of the fine, 6 (six) months' additional imprisonment.
2 (two) years' imprisonment for the offence under Section 506 Part I IPC.
The convict has already undergone 2 (two) months and 1 (one) day in custody and shall serve the remaining sentence of 2 (two) years, 9 (nine) months and 29 (twenty-nine) days in jail
The accused was sentenced to:
