Title: Bihar Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Subordinate Legislation Visits Meghalaya Assembly

Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Shri Thomas A. Sangma said that the Bihar Committee on Subordinate Legislation was on a study tour of Meghalaya and had paid a courtesy visit to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. He expressed his pleasure in receiving the delegation and described the interaction between the two committees as productive and insightful.
The Speaker informed that the members discussed the present functioning of the Committees on Subordinate Legislation in their respective Legislative Assemblies and exchanged views on legislative procedures, best practices and operational mechanisms. Members from both States shared their experiences, making the interaction highly constructive.
Shri Sangma further noted that the visiting delegation took keen interest in the functioning of the Meghalaya Assembly’s committee system and appreciated the practices adopted by the State Legislature. He added that the Bihar delegation was impressed by its visit to Meghalaya and found the discussions beneficial
