Title: Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries visits South West Khasi Hills District

Description:
During his visit, the Hon’ble Minister visited the Civil Hospital, where he distributed Ayushman Bharat Cards to 20 beneficiaries. He also inspected the Natural Farming activities under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) at Wahsiej, interacted with children and Anganwadi workers at Mawlangwir, and visited the Mawranglang Viewpoint.
The Minister further inaugurated and handover the house key to the owner of PMAY - G House at Mawlangwir and also visit a Footbridge and Water Tank-cum-Washing Platform at Mawpon, where he participated in a tree plantation programme.
Later, Shri. Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma chaired a review meeting with District Heads at the Conference Hall, Circuit House, Laitlawsang, Mawkyrwat, to assess the implementation of various Central Government schemes and State Schemes and flagship programmes in the district
