Meghalaya achieved a major milestone in sustainable architecture and rural development with the launch of the state’s first eco-sustainable habitat initiative, the Pine Home Eco-Sustainable Model Project, at Mawlangwir Village in South West Khasi Hills District. The building component of the project has been developed at a cost of ₹2 crore, while the overall project outlay stands at ₹4 crore, funded by Meghalayan Age Limited and the Directorate of Tourism, Meghalaya.
