Title: DLSA Conducts POCSO Awareness Programme at Rongkhon Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School

The programme focused on sensitization regarding the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and aimed to create awareness among students and the community about child protection, legal rights, and safety measures.
Mrs. I.R. Marak, MJS, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, West Garo Hills, chaired the programme. The Headmaster/Principal of Rongkhon Don Bosco Higher Secondary School delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks.
During the programme, Miss Grangchira Ch. Marak, Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel, introduced the NALSA (JAGRITI – Justice Awareness for Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative) Scheme, 2025. Miss Sahithya Pavana Sai Kasiraju, IPS, SDPO Sadar, Raksamgre, delivered an informative session on the provisions and significance of the POCSO Act, 2012.
Representatives from the District Child Protection Unit, Tura, also addressed the gathering on issues related to child protection and safeguarding children from abuse and exploitation
