Shillong-based IAS officer and medical doctor, Dr. Joram Beda, IAS, has authored a new book that seeks to broaden contemporary discourse on one of the most fundamental questions in science and philosophy — the true nature and role of information in reality.
Titled Nature of Information: Shaping Reality, Life, and Consciousness, the book has been published by UK-based Routledge, a leading global academic publisher under the Taylor & Francis Group.
The work offers an interdisciplinary exploration of information across physics, biology, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, philosophy and consciousness studies. The book argues that information may not merely describe reality, but may act as a foundational organising principle — perhaps even the fabric of reality itself.
