Title: International Nurses Day 2026 was observed in West Khasi Hills District

The programme featured the unveiling of a portrait by Dr. Z. Marak, Medical Superintendent, CHN, followed by the lighting of the lamp led by Dr. Z. Marak, along with the Principal, Nursing Superintendent, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Nursing Sisters and Senior Staff Nurses.
The keynote address was delivered by Smt. E.N. Arengh, Principal, GNM School of Nursing, who highlighted the vital role of nurses in strengthening healthcare services and emphasized the importance of empowering nurses to save lives and build a healthier future.
A short speech was also delivered by Dr. Z. Marak, who appreciated the dedication, compassion and tireless service rendered by nurses towards patient care and community health
