The Deputy Commissioner Smti. A. Kharpor, IAS in her speech as the chief guest lauded the initiatives taken by the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society in collaboration with various training providers of the district in conducting the programme for the benefit of residents of the district. She highlighted on the importance of skill development in transforming the lives of the state’s youth. She said that skill training program has been an inspiration for unemployed youth, bringing about a change in their lives. It provides an opportunity for individuals with special talents to showcase themselves through self-employment. Additionally, she expressed gratitude to the training providers for their dedication and hard work in empowering others. The Deputy Commissioner also urged trainees to take this advantage of the training to stand on their own feet and increase their income.
