Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Sniawbhalang Dhar hoisted the National Flag and took the Salute of 25 marching contingents comprising of Tura DEF, 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre, NCC Boys and Girls from Tura Government College, Don Bosco College, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Pechon Memorial Higher Secondary School, and St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School; NCC from Garo Union Higher Secondary School; Scout Troops and Guide Companies from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Christian Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Garo Union Higher Secondary School and the Band Party of the 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre at a programme held at Matchakolgre L.P. School Playground, New Tura.

Revenue & Disaster Management Minister, Shri Kyrmen Shylla hoisted the National Flag and took the Salute of 33 contingents comprising of District Police, Kiang Nangbah Govt College SDSW, NCC Cadets, 61 Meghalaya Girls Battalion JW Government Girls, 42 Meghalaya Battalion JDJW NCC, Jowai, Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides, and 27 schools at a programme held at Jrisalein Playground
