On completion of trial the Hon'ble Court of Smti. B. Khriam, Special Judge (POCSO). East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat found accused Shri. Shambhu Ray guilty of committing an offence against minor and sentenced him to 7 (seven) years imprisonment for an offence punishable u/s 77 Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act with fine of ₹ 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) only. A compensation of ₹ 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs) only to be paid to the minor survivor
