Title: 24-Hour Student Filmmaking Challenge Announced for Indie8 Shillong International Film Festival 2026

The competition aims to encourage creative experimentation, storytelling, and teamwork among young filmmakers. Open to students from all disciplines and institutions, the initiative will provide a dynamic platform for emerging talents to conceptualise, shoot, edit, and submit a short film within a span of 24 hours.
Participants will be required to submit valid student identity cards for registration. The theme for the competition will be shared with registered participants 24 hours prior to the start of the challenge. Winners will be awarded cash prizes, mementoes, and certificates in recognition of their creative excellence.
Notably, the winning film will be screened during the Indie8 Shillong International Film Festival 2026, scheduled to be held in Shillong on 2nd and 3rd March 2026, offering young filmmakers a prestigious platform to present their work to a wider audience
