The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat, in a press release issued has declared the 8th & 9th April, 2026 and 4th May, 2026 (being the day of counting of votes) as "Dry Days” in the entire East Jaintia Hills District on account of the General Election to the Legislative Assembly, 2026 in the state of Assam. All Wholesalers, IMFL retailers, Bars, Canteens and Out-stills shall remain closed on the above-mentioned dates
