In view of the prevailing Weather condition and the weather prediction/warning by the Indian Meteorological Department indicating Thunderstorm/Lightning with 30–40 kmph Gusty Wind and Heavy Rain on the 16th March, 2026 at isolated places in East Jaintia Hills District, which may thereby affect Schools, Colleges and other Educational Institutions and taking into account the safety of the students, therefore, all Schools, Colleges and other Educational Institutions (both Government and Private) within East Jaintia Hills District will remain closed on 16th March, 2026
