Description:
I, Shri Vibhor Agarwal, IAS, District Magistrate, West Garo Hills District, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, do hereby extend the curfew imposed within the entire jurisdiction of West Garo Hills District for a further period of forty-eight (48) hours.
Accordingly, the curfew shall remain in force from 12:00 A.M. on 11th March 2026 until 12:00 A.M. on 13th March 2026, unless withdrawn earlier.
During the period of curfew, no person shall move outside their residence within the limits of West Garo Hills District.
All law enforcement agencies, Executive Magistrates and police officers within West Garo Hills District are hereby directed to strictly enforce this order and take necessary action against any person found violating the curfew.
Any violation of this order shall attract penal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other relevant provisions of law
