Description:
In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, I, Dr. Abhishek Saini, IAS, District Magistrate, North Garo Hills District, do hereby prohibit the following for the period from 9th March, 2026 till the nomination process is over in the district:
a. Carrying or concealing on person lathis, sticks, stones, missiles, firearms or any kind of lethal weapons by any person or group of persons or organization within the district.
b. Unlawful assembly of five or more persons that may disturb the orderly conduct of the nomination process.
c. Causing obstruction in the legal operation of shops/establishments/offices, etc.
This order shall not apply to armed forces personnel, paramilitary personnel and other law enforcement agencies on lawful duty deployment.
As the circumstances require preventive action, this order is issued ex-parte and shall extend to the entire North Garo Hills District and come into force with immediate effect
