Description:
In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, I Smti. R.M. Kurbah, IAS, District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong hereby prohibit the following:
1) No person or entity or groups shall dump waste, sewage, plastic, debris into the gorges and streams all along the Mawlai By Pass;
2) Discharge of effluents and coasters into the gorges and streams along the Mawlai By Pass;
Anyone found violating this Order, would be liable for legal action under Section 223 of the BNS and other relevant provisions of Law.
Due to exigency, nature and circumstances of the matter, the order has been passed ex-parte and it shall come into force immediately until further orders
