Title: Public Notice for Identification of an unidentified Dead Body

Description:
It is hereby informed to the general public that an unknown male dead body, aged approximately 40–50 years, was found on 29.08.2026 at about 4:20 PM at a river under Mawranglang Village, Lai Kyntoit, South West Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya.
The deceased was found in a highly decomposed condition, lying in a curled position between rocks in the river. The dead body was subsequently shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong, where an Inquest and Post-Mortem Examination were conducted.
Any person who may have information regarding the identity of the deceased, or whose relative or acquaintance has been reported missing, is requested to contact the Officer-In-Charge, Mawkyrwat Police Station, or the Office of the Superintendent of Police, South West Khasi Hills District, at the earliest.
The cooperation of the public in identifying the deceased is earnestly solicited.
The public is requested to share this notice widely so that the identity of the deceased may be established and the family/relatives, if any, can be informed
