Title: One-Day Training and Distribution of Critical Input (Formulated Feed) Programme Held in Ri Bhoi to Promote Sustainable Aquaculture

50 Nos of Fish Farmers, beneficiaries of Solar Powered Aerators for Aquaculture Ponds supported by the District Administration in 2025 were identified for this One-Day Training and Critical Input Support in which Dr. Subhendu Adhikari, Principal Scientist and the Scientistin-Charge / North-Eastern Hills (NEH) Coordinator was the Primary Resource Person.
This Initiative would not have been possible without the will to collaborate and the leadership and guidance of the Head and Director of ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) Dr. Pramoda Kumar Sahoo and the Director of Fisheries, Government of Meghalaya, Dr. Rezina Ch. Marak, MCS.
During the training, sessions on need for Quality Critical Inputs like Fish seed and Fish Feed for enhancing Fish Production in Aquaculture Ponds and Scientific Feeding Management and Pond Management were discussed in details through the Expert Sharing of Dr. S. Adhikari, Principal Scientist and Smti. Meda A. Khongjliw, Superintendent of Fisheries, Ri Bhoi District
