The Hon’ble Court of Smti. M. K Lyngdoh, Special Judge (POCSO), East Khasi Hills, Shillong vide Judgment/Court Order Dated 05/08/2026 convicted the accused, Shri Shanboklang Dkhar of Special (POCSO) Case No. 37 of 2023/Madanriting P.S Case No. 46(05)2023 u/s 5(l)(m)(n)/6 POCSO Act. The accused is sentenced to 20 (twenty) years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs. 50,000/- for an offence u/s 6 POCSO Act and in default of payment of fine, further imprisonment for 6 (six) months. The convict has already undergone a period of 3 (three) years, 2 (two) months, and 19 (nineteen) days of imprisonment. He shall therefore serve the remaining sentence of 16 (sixteen) years, 9 (nine) months and 11 (eleven) days in jail
