It is to inform that on 06.08.2026, an unidentified male dead body was recovered from the parking area beside J. Marbaniang Petrol Pump, Themmarwet, under Khanapara Police Station, Ri-Bhoi District. The police on reaching the spot, conducted necessary enquiries; however, no person in the area was able to identify the deceased or provide information regarding his identity. During the inquest, a vehicle key, suspected to be of a Tata Magic vehicle, was found in the possession of the deceased. Drivers operating Tata Magic vehicles along the G.S. Road were contacted, but none could identify the deceased. All necessary legal formalities were completed, and the body was subsequently shifted to the Morgue Room of Civil Hospital, Nongpoh, for post-mortem examination and for taking further necessary action
