Title: Notice Inviting Claims for Notification for 15th Term Under Section 5(4) Read with Section 5(3)(c) of the Press Council Act, 1978

Description:
The 14th term of the Press Council of India came to an end on October 5, 2024. The Council in order to be reconstituted for its 15th term vide Advertisement Notice dated 09.06.2024 invited claims from eligible Associations of Persons for filing of claims under Section 5(3)(a), (b) and (c) of the Press Council Act, 1978.
However, in absence of any claim filed under Section 5(3)(c) of the Press Council Act, 1978 i.e. News Agencies, pursuant to the said advertisement, this notice is being re-advertised to complete the reconstitution process of the 15th term of the Council.
Therefore claims are invited for notification vide clause (c) of Section 5(3) read with proviso to Section 5(4) of the Press Council Act, 1978 from the eligible Associations of Persons who manage news agencies or from individual News Agencies in the event of there being no Association of News Agencies
