Addressing the gathering, Meghalaya Governor C. H. Vijayashankar extended his greetings to the people of the three states and highlighted their rich historical, cultural and religious heritage. The Governor described the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the significant contributions of Bihar, Odisha and Rajasthan to the nation. He noted that Bihar has long been regarded as a centre of learning, citing institutions such as Nalanda University. Odisha, he said, is known for its spiritual legacy and architectural landmarks like the Jagannath Temple and Konark Sun Temple, along with its vibrant festivals.
