The Government of Meghalaya in a Notification issued through the Home (Police) Department has notified for setting up the Counter Insurgency & Jungle Warfare (CIJW) School at Baghmara, South Garo Hills District, Meghalaya to provide specialized counter-insurgency and jungle warfare skills to State Police and Commando forces and also to train special units in jungle warfare and counter insurgency operations
