The Department of Health and Family Welfare constituted the Enquiry Committee on 07.07.2025. The findings recommendations and conclusions clearly indicate that there are numbers of deficiencies relating to the death of the patient in question.
The Commission has passed the Final Order on 23rd March 2026 addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare Department with a recommendation for payment of compensation of ₹ 10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs) only to be paid to the children of the deceased in order to improve their living conditions as they have lost their mother
