The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovered the body of a 50-year-old man from Umkhein river at Jaroit village in East Khasi Hills District. The SDRF was activated by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), East Khasi Hills, after the man who is a resident of Pdengshnong, Nonghali, went missing while fishing in the Umkhein river at Jaroit village. Later, the body of the deceased man was handed over to the police personnel. As per police the deceased has been identified as Shri. Kellshon Shadap, husband of Smt. Sibonda War and a resident of Pdengshnong, Nonghali
