Title: EWKH DTO Enforcement Conducts Vehicle Checking Drive in Mairang

The Enforcement Branch of the Office of the District Transport Officer (DTO), Eastern West Khasi Hills District, On the Afternoon of May 11, 2026, conducted a special checking drive against vehicles without High Security Registration Plates (HSRP), incomplete documents, and other traffic violations.
The inspection was carried out along National Highway 44E near Lumsohkhlur village in Mairang, Eastern West Khasi Hills District. During the drive, several vehicles, including two-wheelers, were found without proper number plates, valid documents, modified silencers, and riders without helmets.
The enforcement team detained a number of vehicles, while others were fined for violating traffic rules and regulations
