Title: Safer Internet Day Awareness Programme held in Shillong

The Information Technology & Communication Department, Government of Meghalaya, organized an awareness programme on the occasion of Safer Internet Day on 10th February 2026 in the Training Hall of the Information Technology & Communication Department, Shillong.
The programme was graced by Shri K. L. Nongbri, MCS, Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Information Technology & Communication Department, who attended and encouraged participants to promote safe, responsible and secure use of the internet.
Officers and staff members of the Information Technology & Communication Department, Meghalaya Information Technology Society (MITS) and SeMT attended the awareness programme. The session focused on the significance of observing Safer Internet Day and creating awareness about cyber safety, data protection and responsible digital practices among government officials and citizens alike
