Description:
Shri. Abhinav Kumar Singh, IAS, District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 163 BNSS do hereby promulgate this order prohibiting the sale and distribution of petrol and diesel in loose quantities within the jurisdiction of West Jaintia Hills.
Any person found violating the order will be liable for legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other relevant provisions of the law.
However, the issuance of diesel for mobile towers and road construction companies shall continue as per the standing orders issued by the undersigned, subject to compliance with the relevant provisions of the Petroleum Act, 1934 and application regulations.
In view of the urgency of the matter, this order is passed ex-parte and shall come into force with immediate effect until further orders
