Appreciating the efforts of the Society, the Deputy Commissioner advised the members to strengthen production, farmer mobilisation and market linkages through convergence with PRIME Meghalaya and the Horticulture Department. She also suggested developing suitable quality parameters for honey procurement from farmers to ensure consistency, build consumer confidence and enhance the market value of locally produced honey.

The field visit highlighted the potential of local enterprises and farmer-based organisations to promote entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture, value addition, employment generation and livelihood opportunities in South West Garo Hills. It also emphasised the importance of institutional support, quality assurance and stronger market linkages in enabling local enterprises to grow
