Description:
The order imposes night curfew from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM within a 1 kilometre radius from the Zero Line (International Border) of Indo–Bangladesh Border in East Khasi Hills District due to the risk of cross-border infiltration, illegal migration, smuggling, and other unlawful activities. The order prohibits:
Movement with intent to cross the international boundary,
Unauthorized assembly of 5 or more persons carrying weapons,
Illegal activities including smuggling of cattle, contraband goods, betel nuts, etc.
Effective immediately and valid for 2 months from 25th November 2025. Issued by Smt. R.M. Kurbah, IAS, District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District
