Title: CEO Meghalaya Reviews Notice and Hearing Phase of SIR 2026; Holds Weekly Review with Political Parties

Description:
During the online review with the district election machinery, the CEO reviewed the generation, printing and distribution of notices to electors whose records could not be Linked with the previous SIR 2005 records or where discrepancies had been identified in their mapping.
A total of 6,51,644 cases have been identified for notice and further verification across the State, comprising 2,22,786 electors under the No Mapping category and 4,28,858 electors having mapping discrepancies.
The process of generation and distribution of notices is underway across the districts and hearings have commenced before the EROs/AEROs. The CEO directed the district election machinery to ensure timely service of notices and systematic scheduling of hearings so that every elector concerned is given adequate opportunity to appear and furnish the required supporting documents
