Press Release Number:
11/05/2026
Description:
The programme witnessed the participation of around 60 students and volunteers, who actively took part in the awareness rally and campaign carrying the message “Say No to Tobacco Use.”
The initiative aimed to educate the public, especially the youth, about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle free from tobacco addiction.
Tobacco use continues to remain one of the leading causes of serious health issues, including cancer, heart disease, respiratory illnesses, and stroke. Speakers during the programme stressed the importance of creating awareness among young people about the long-term health risks associated with smoking and other forms of tobacco consumption.
Participants also appealed to the public to support the movement towards creating a tobacco-free society through awareness and responsible choices
