Function and Objectives

Chief Minister’s Secretariat is not an Administrative Department. The functions of the Secretariat is to provide Secretariat assistance to the Chief Minister as noted below:-.

  1. Handling all the letters petitions/memoranda addresses to the Chief Minister received from the Govt. of India,different Departments,individuals,organisations/institutions and different agencies and also redressal of their grievances.

  2. Taking follow up action on matters as mentioned at (1) above.

  3. Handling of matters relating to the CMSUD Fund and CMSRD Fund.

  4. Inaddition,the application for grant of pension and other matter relating to freedom fighters and their families are dealt with in this secretariat.

  5. Maintenance of record relating to appointment of Chairman/Vice-Chairman/Co-Chairman to various Councils/Corporations/Committees/Boards, etc. notified by various Govt. Department.
