The Spot Judy - Abisara chela (de-Niceville)
Colour : Brown

Considered to be a very rare butterfly of 45-65 mm. Upper surface of wings dark brown. Upper surface of fore wing with a white band in the middle area and with an obscure white band outer to this, also with prominent white spot at the upper end of the obscure band. Hind wing with a short brown and white tipped tail. Recorded from Shillong during October.

The Punchinello - Zemeros flegyas (Cran1er)
Colour : Chocolate brown

A very common butterfly of 35-40 mm. Upper surface of the wings purple-brown with small white spots each bordered inwardly by a black spot. Usually found flying near water. Recorded from Shillong during March -October.
